The difference between solvent-free laminating machine and dry laminating machine

Solvent-free laminating machines use solvent-free adhesives to combine two or more materials that are insoluble in each other at the molecular level through mechanical force without the use of solvents.The dry laminating machine first applies the glue liquid on a substrate, then heats and exhausts the air to fully dry the solvent in the glue liquid, and then compounds it with another substrate in a dry state.

Since solvent-free laminating machines do not use solvents, they avoid the pollution to the environment caused by solvent volatilization and reduce the cost of solvent recovery and treatment, which meets the environmental protection requirements of modern industry.In contrast, dry laminating machines produce solvent volatilization during the production process. Although new equipment has reduced solvent residues through technological improvements, its environmental performance still needs to be paid attention to.

Solvent-free lamination does not require drying of the solvent, thus saving energy consumption. In contrast, dry lamination machines require heating and drying of the solvent, which consumes relatively high energy.

Solvent-free laminating machines have a high production speed, generally reaching 250-350 m/min, which is nearly double the efficiency of most dry laminating machines. Furthermore, solvent-free laminating machines require relatively little auxiliary time, which helps improve production efficiency.
